Good to go: accomplishments du jour

Recording is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday evening, with Peter Grunberg. Hopefully I will have a coaching with him Monday night, to work through what we're going to record. Final dress for Mefistofele on Tuesday, opening night Friday! Ildar is amazing. Patricia Racette does a fantastic impression of an over-the-top 19th century actress, and Ramon Vargas is one of the few tenors with a voice I really enjoy hearing! They've all been great to work with, sociable and entertaining and lots of fun. And it's good to see top-notch singers in action. And two sprawling tomato plants are now surrounded lovingly by stakes and bars. Still have a few more to go! Finally got started on the Vanessa aria. Unsurprisingly, it will require a lot of work. Finally deposited my last 3 SFO paychecks, which led to a glowing feeling in the vicinity of my stomach. Now I no longer need to feel guilty about spending money on coachings and travel! Finally left a message for Sheri Greenawald. :) Hopefully I'll hear back from her before she's off touring the country listening to Merola auditions. Now I just need to spiff up this website (or find a reasonably slick alternative), practice my ass off tomorrow, and keeping working on the C.
